Superb publication on every possible aspect of the history of these two cars, described as "two of the most technically advanced Grand Prix cars ever seen" Fabulous mostly previously unseen period photos on almost every page accompany famously well-researched text. This Deluxe slipcased hardback edition with silver edged pages is numbered (54 of 75) and signed on the title page by the late Chris Nixon. McCluggage was an accomplished writer and racer in the US and this collection of magazine columns from "Autoweek" -- the magazine she founded as "Competition Press" -- includes her recollections of the drivers she knew including Juan Manuel Fangio, Masten Gregory, Phil Hill, Jean Behra, Wolfgang von Trips, Peter Collins, Harry Schell, Richie Ginther in Europe and Down Home racers Joe Weatherley, Fireball Roberts, Steve McQueen, Don Yenko and Briggs Cunningham. Articles include The Maggis and the Mille Miglia, Stirling Moss, Carroll Shelby, BRM, Chitty Bang Bang, Lady drivers, Rudyard Kipling etc. etc. If you're wondering where the cars are on the (rather dull) cover, they are on the back!
