1174.    INDIANAPOLIS 1972   Gasoline Alley  pass badge. " Good on Race Day Only When Used with Official Badge" Bronze coloured metal badge with bas-relief design stamped no. 3547. With original card in terrific condition. Badge is just over 1 inch wide, card is approx. 3in x 3in. £25
1172.    WILLIAMS.  The Business of Grand Prix Racing. Alan Henry 1991.  Authoritative history of the Williams team, and of course Frank Williams. Foreword by Nigel Mansell. Illustrated. Hardback with dustwrapper in excellent condition. 6in x 9.5in  pp.232    £20
1163.    DESTINATION MONTE. Peter Harper.  1967 MBC edition of this book with a deceptive title. It actually covers all the big rallies such s the RAC, the Tulip, Acropolis et. as well as forays behind the iron curtain, the Mille Miglia and into production car racing. Small section of photos. 1158.    THRUST. Through the Sound Barrier. 1998. Richard Noble. The story of the Thrust SSC car  and its attempts on the Land Speed Record, finally going supersonic in 1997. Glossy production with hundreds of terrific photographs accompanying the first hand account by the man who first broke the LSR in Thrust 2 "For Britain and the Hell of It" Essential for the Speed record enthusiast. Hardback in excellent dustwrapper 8in x 10in. pp 320   £25
1153.    BMW PIN BADGE.   Factory supplied enamel badge with the famous blue and white quadrant design representing a whirling propeller. 1/4 inch (6.5mm) in diameter on 1.75in (42mm) pin. in original BMW parts dept. plastic bag. £15

1967.    60th Anniversary meeting. Programme for the concours, driving tests and displays of veteran, vintage and classic cars and motorcycles. Historical articles on the rack with period illustrations, list of competitors etc. Good condition. 6in x9.5in £10

1978.    Includes a section reproduced from a 1933 yearbook. Particularly good for photos. 5.5in x 8.5in   £8

1118.     PIRELLI ALBUM OF MOTOR RACING HEROES.  John Surtees 1992. Surtees picks twenty of his favourite drivers from Nuvolari to Senna. Fabulous period photographs accompany the text. Softback. large format 12in x 11in. pp.160   £20
1115.    FIT FOR THE CHASE. Cars and the Movies. 1969. Raymond Lee. Literally hundreds of period stills from movies, from early silent comedies, through thrillers, action pictures and of course race movies to studio publicity pictures. Not much except a brief introduction to each section but every photo has a caption identifying car, stars and movie. Very comprehensive, especially when compared with recent books in this genre.  Hardback with dustwrapper in excellent condition. 8in x 10in  pp.237  £25
1114.    BP BOOK OF THE RACING CAMPBELLS. Richard Hough, 1960. Excellent history of Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell's exploits breaking speed records on land and water. Published before the Bluebird Proteus had made its first attempt on the. record. Lots of photographs going back as far as before WW1. Hardback in very good condition with very good dustwrapper (two small tears repaired with tape) 5.5in x 8.5in pp.127  £ 25
1113.    AUTOMOBILE IGNITION STARTING AND LIGHTING. 1924. Charles B. Hayward.  "A comprehensive analysis of the Complete Electrical Equipment of the Modern Automobile, Including many Wiring Diagrams and Details of all the Important Starting-Lighting Systems Including the Ford System"  Comprehensive it is! 819 pages of description, photographs, diagrams etc. on all aspects of vehicle electrics. The first edition was in 1918 and it was updated almost every year. This one covers US models from 1912. Essential manual for those with early motor cars. In amazing condition for its age, still tightly bound, the only damage is a couple of tears on the flyleaf and title pages (repaired with tape). Original leathercloth-type semi flexible cover. 5.5in x 8in (and over 2 in thick!)   £35

Featured cars include Bugatti Royale, Phantom Corsair, Mercedes 500K, December Dual Cowl Phaeton. Pierce Silver Arrow etc.  Twenty cars from the Harrah's Museum studio photographed in detail. Large format glossy softback. 13in x 9in pp.54  £12  
1105.    HARRY FERGUSON. Bill Martin. Ulster Folk & Transport Museum 1996 publication covering the life and work of the man from his early motoring and flying career through his work on the Ferguson tractor system, his dealings with Ford and the Jensen FF 4WD car.  Softback in very good condition 8in x 6in  pp.30  £9
